Two dreams begin in Nigeria
Ahmed and Fatimah were both born in Nigeria, destined to meet years later and unite their passions for serving.
Ahmed heads West
Moves to the University of Wyoming to study Mechanical Engineering (yes, cowboy jokes were made).
Leading with stewardship
Ahmed becomes the first international student to serve as Student Body President at UW, managing a $1M budget and learning the importance of fiduciary responsibility.
The investment awakening
Starts with individual stocks (mixed results), then adopts an ETF-first, long-term approach, guided by A Random Walk Down Wall Street and the halal-adapted F.I.R.E. mindset.
Expanding horizons
Ahmed pursues his second Master's in Computer Science with Machine Learning specialization while beginning to mentor friends and family on investing and long-term wealth building.
Fatimah earns her MBA
Fatimah graduates with her MBA and co-founds Jannah Sisters, where she witnesses firsthand the challenges single Muslims face in finding meaningful, value-aligned relationships.
Dr. Fatimah emerges
Fatimah graduates from pharmacy school, earning her doctorate. Shortly after, Ahmed and Fatimah get married, beginning their journey as partners in life and eventually in business.
Building foundations
We buy our first home. Ahmed continues community coaching, offering 1:1 halal-finance sessions and simplifying investing.
Financial milestone achieved
Discipline, patience, a plan and Allah's Rahma. We pay off our home completely, a testament to the financial principles Ahmed teaches and lives by.
Student debt conquered
Fatimah pays off her entire $125,000 in student loans from pharmacy school, proving that strategic financial planning can accelerate debt freedom. She also begins her official matchmaking journey.
Mahar Plus is born
